Guild Wars Steam Purchase
I just purchased Guild Wars from Steam because the NCSoft Store "wasn't available at this time" *cough surprise cough*, and I wonder where exactly my keys are.
The purchase went fine, and instead of just mailing the keys, Steam forces you to go to redundant actions such as installing Steam, aswell as now apparently installing GW. Anyone know how exactly this works, or what the idea is? I don't want Steam installed on my PC (cuz I think it's a waste of space), and I only want the keys. Thanks. |

You could always just install Steam, get your key and uninstall it. Once you get your access key and create your account, you only need the Guild Wars client, which can be installed from the website.

Steam should open a window containing the key when you install the game if i recall correctly or the option is available by right clicking on the game. The key is only accessible by steam.

Yeah, after installing Steam, which on it's own took forever (I always had a "failure to connect to steam servers") I managed to found the CDKey burried in some submenu of a submenu.
All is fine now, many thanks |
